Warehousing with a chemicals background
PENPET Logistics is the logistics arm of the PENPET group, which has imported and distributed petrochemical feedstocks worldwide since 1992. That shapes how we store: anyone who works with safety data sheets, batches and customs paperwork every day does not treat a pallet of bagged goods as generic freight.
What we mainly store is granulates, powders, bagged goods, big bags, IBCs and drums – palletised or in block storage. A DINO silo system for dusty bulk material is available at both sites, and Bobzin additionally has a breaking unit for caked material.
What comes with the storage
Plain floor space is rarely what customers actually need. In practice handling is nearly always part of it – and we do that in-house:
- Handling with electric and diesel forklifts, container ramps at both sites
- Picking to customer specification, including pallet wrapping and packaging material
- Repacking and filling – big bag to big bag, big bag to sack, liquids
- Crate construction and VCI corrosion protection for high-value machine parts and export goods
- Silo transports nationally and internationally
Two sites, two profiles
Bobzin is our main site: 6,600 m² in five halls, with WGK approval, a bonded warehouse option and a truck scale on the premises. Everything that needs additional approvals or customs status runs through here.
Wittenburg adds 5,960 m² in three halls and is set up for heavy goods and fertilisers. Options for water-hazardous substances are limited there, so we consistently route such enquiries to Bobzin.
How an enquiry works
For a reliable answer we usually need four things: the substance and its safety data sheet, the packaging type, the volume and the period. With that we check capacity, admissibility at the respective site and the right hall – and come back with a concrete proposal rather than a price list.
Short and specific
What goods can PENPET Logistics store?
The focus is chemicals and chemical-related goods: granulates, powders, bagged goods, big bags, IBCs and drums. Fertilisers and heavy goods are handled at the Wittenburg site, and high-value machine parts including crate construction and VCI corrosion protection are also covered.
Whether a specific substance can be stored is assessed on the basis of the safety data sheet and available capacity.
How much storage space is available?
A total of 12,560 m² in eight halls: 6,600 m² in five halls in Bobzin and 5,960 m² in three halls in Wittenburg.
Is block storage possible?
Yes. Block storage is set up at the Bobzin site. The stacking height possible in an individual case depends on the packaging, the goods and the hall, and is clarified during the enquiry.
What does storage cost?
We calculate per enquiry, because substance, packaging, handling frequency and storage duration determine the effort involved. Tell us the substance, volume and period and you will receive a concrete quotation.
